The half-life of knowledge and education is decreasing. A reorganization of the ratio of initial vocational training and continuing education is the order of the day. This issue shall remain topical as linear educational and career paths are no longer the norm, but rather occupational and educational biographies are more often characterized by interruptions and career changes. This also means that individuals have improved opportunities for participation and need to shape their own employability.
